The spike is so small as to not register on the performance graphs in resource monitor, but they're absolutely horrible in terms of gameplay.

Should i download malwarebytes 3.0 premium install#
I finished up the new computer this past weekend, and finally got around to reinstalling Malwarebytes, and I get the exact same problem on this machine! The new one is brand new, i7-7700K, 32GB DDR4-3200, GTX-1080 with a fresh install of Win7 SP1 with all security patches applied. The machine is no slouch, but it is a few years old and has had the same install of windows for the last 3 years, so I figured it was just age and a less than optimized OS, and I was in the process of building a new machine anyway. I started by turning off all the real-time protections, and that didn't fix the issue, but I was convinced it was Malwarebytes that was causing it, so I killed the process completely, and sure enough, the stuttering in Fallout 4 went away. This item: Malwarebytes Anti-Malware Premium 3.0 - 3 PCs / 1 Year Malwarebytes. I started looking at Malwarebytes as the culprit, since it was the only thing that had been updated recently. For that 1/10th of a second, the screen would freeze, and this resulted in some pretty damn miserable gameplay. It happened once a second, and lasted around 1/10th of the second. Immediately after that, i tried playing Fallout 4 and I noticed some serious stuttering.

A few weeks back, Malwarebytes Premium upgraded itself from 2.2.x to 3.0.
